Behind the Build

Over Home Cabins was never about the biggest houses, the flashiest finishes, or trend-chasing design. We search for the lived-in, imperfections of rustic cabins.

It began with a question: What makes a space feel like home? And the answer, for us, was always the same — craftsmanship, character, and the quiet kind of beauty that lives in cabins tucked along wooded paths and coastal roads from Tennessee to Florida.

It’s the feeling you get when a place holds still for you, when the light hits just right and the walls seem to remember something. Those are the spaces we’re drawn to, and the stories we aim to tell.

Our Design Philosophy

We believe that the best homes aren’t the most expensive — they’re the most honest. The ones built with intention. The ones where the wood still smells like trees and the floors tell stories.

We’re drawn to natural textures, muted palettes, and spaces that let the light do the talking.

Over Home Cabins isn’t about creating a style; it’s about noticing one that already exists in the quiet places, in the marks left by a craftsman’s hand, or the way a cabin seems to settle into the land around it like it’s always been there.

We feature cabins that feel alive, spaces that breathe with history, even if they were built just yesterday. Whether it’s a fixer-upper lovingly brought back to life or a brand-new build that honors old techniques, the thread is always the same: soul. These homes have it.

Want to See Your Cabin Featured?

If you’ve built or restored a cabin that captures the spirit of craftsmanship and quiet living, we’d love to see it. We’re always looking to share homes with heart, whether nestled in the hills of Tennessee, the coasts of Florida, or anywhere in between.

Send a few photos and a brief note about your cabin, and we’ll get back to you if it’s a good fit for an upcoming feature.
